Griz

Yesterday, I went to Trax Farms with Julia and her parents.  It’s hard to say who to whom there – it was Gulia’s idea, my car, and her parents’ money – so I guess we all took each other.  The place was pretty neat.  It had the requisite hay rides, pumpkin patch, corn maze, and apple cider as well as some more eclectic things.  I’d have to say that any establishment selling both fried Oreos and Venus flytraps is fine by me.  Also, the orchard was nowhere to be seen…Matt Bochman is afraid of orchards.

The best part was the music though.  When we got there, it sounded like they had a live band playing, but further investigation revealed that it was only one guy: Griz, the One Man Band!  I was pretty excited because I thought I found Jared working at his weekend job, but instead it was some other mountain douche.  He started by rocking my face off with Sweet Home Alabama, and after the hay ride, he laid down some Johnny Cash.  Let’s face it though, he was no Steve Summerhill (who bills himself as Central PA’s premier singer/guitar player).

i'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that steve summerhill needs to learn some more jimmy buffett songs. the lack of j.b. songs in his catalogue is pathetic.

Be honest, do you want some J.B. from Steve, or do you want a BJ?
